The Kim-Park program is excited to present a hands-on zine making workshop with facilitator Liz Mason. Learn about these easy-to-produce and often ephemeral works, and make your own zine to take with you. All workshop materials will be provided free of charge. This event is open to all with registration and will be held in The Hanna Holborn Gray Special Collections Research Center (https://www.lib.uchicago.edu/scrc/) in Regenstein Library. Her work has been in places like Punk Planet and The Zine Yearbook, and she managed Chicago’s zine hub Quimby’s Bookstore for two and a half decades. Currently she is enrolled in a Library & Information Science Masters program at Chicago State University with a specialization in Archives and Records Management, co-runs Sugar Hijinx Perzine Distro, co-produces the podcast Rough Draft with Keidra and Liz, and is on CHIRP Radio 107.1fm Chicago on Wednesday mornings from 609am CT.
